Great ship, good food, excellent staff

My wife came up with this entire cruise idea, and boy am I glad she did! The boat is if not the most, one of the most fabulous we’ve seen in Halong. It’s new, luxurious and the staff was really friendly and helpful, special shoutout to Mr. Le. Our cabin was lovely, super clean, with a big bathroom. From the activities, we enjoyed kayaking, the cooking class, and squid fishing. The food was delicious and plenty. Overall, we were happy to have chosen this cruise and we certainly recommend Pelican.

Excellent staff, exceptional service

I took an overnight cruise with good friends. My first impression is about the staff. They are very professional and always had service in mind. The boat is opulent in style. The amenities and decorations are great. We enjoyed the food too even though most of it is unfamiliar to us. No disappointment at all.

Nothing short of spectacular!

Halong Bay is simply stunning, I can’t find the right words to describe such a beautiful place. It’s like a slice of paradise. It’s a huge must and with Pelican Cruise you will enjoy it. I wasn’t paid to write this review. I’m just blown away by the quality of service from the moment I inquired via email to the time I was chauffered to the airport. The food on board and my room was pure perfection.”

A spectacular cruise to remember

The most memorable overnight stay I’ve spent in Vietnam! The sunrise and sunset were glorious and one of a kind. No one should really miss out on a cruise in Halong Bay. The best part for me was being able to enjoy the views right from the comfort of my cabin with its huge balcony. The meals served onboard were so delicious, mostly a mix of Vietnamese and Western cuisine.

Would definitely go again!

My fiance and I did a 3-day, 2-night cruise in Halong Bay. Pelican surpassed our expectations in every way! The ship was fabulous, the service was excellent, and they made everything so stress-free, from our hotel pick up in Hanoi, to the check-in, cabin assignment, and itinerary. The food was superb; an international buffet breakfast, then 5-course Vietnamese dishes for lunch and dinner. We’re so pleased and will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Memorable cruise for our family

Our family just returned from a 3-day cruise in Halong Bay courtesy of Pelican. Excellent accommodation with large windows and a beautiful balcony overlooking the magnificent views. For a moment the kids were in awe of the landscape because we live in the city. The staff was awesome and went beyond expectations to please their guests. They really made our trip unforgettable as the activities both on and off-board were exciting. Highly recommend indeed.

A very memorable trip

The cruise was intimate in the sense that you build relationship with the other guests on board. The trips from our boat to the tourist spots were all very good, well organized and our guide was really knowledgeable about the sites that we visited.

Fantastic trip to Halong Bay

We hiked, sunbathed, and kayaked our way around Halong Bay on a 2-day overnight cruise. It was perfect for travelers like us who want to combine adventure with relaxation. Pelican took care of all our needs including transportation, spacious cabins, meals, and lots of fun-filled activities. We especially enjoyed our visit to Sung Sot Cave and Tuan Chau Island.

Such a wonderful experience

We went on two-day/one-night cruise. Our room was really lovely, we even had a private balcony, which was amazing because we get to appreciate the beauty of Halong Bay. Our guide was very friendly and they organized different activities like swimming, kayaking, biking, cooking lessons, etc., so we were never bored. Will highly recommend to everyone!

A cruise not to be missed!

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, which we believe is the best way to really enjoy and explore Halong Bay. Staying for 3 days gave us an exhilarating excursion to Tuan Chau Island, bike around an ethnic village and kayak to a beach for swimming. Our boat was very neat and had an elegant vibe to it. The bathrooms and bedrooms are very luxurious. Would definitely recommend.

All aboard the Pelican!

It’s a long long way to Halong bay to here! What a really great holiday. The Vietnamese are so friendly, they struggled a bit with our accents but everywhere we went we were treated magnificently. We had a cruise on the Pelican Halong Bay. There are hundreds of boats to choose from but I don’t hesitate in recomending this. Great staff, food, drinks, accomodation and activities. Vietnam was a lot more beautiful than I had expected and this was the best of the best. Great job Pelican.

Just Magnificent!

Ha Long bay is truly magnificent. We had heard about the beauty of Halong bay for so long and finally we decided to travel to Vietnam. We did a 2 Days 1 Night tour on Halong Pelican cruise. It was an extremely wonderful Halong cruise experience that we could ever have. We had a beautiful cabin with private balcony so that we could enjoy beautiful view whenever we were inside the cabin.  Regarding to the service, we have to say that it was very professional and better than what we thought it could be. Additionally the food was excellent.  You can also pay for the spa service there with reasonable price. We chose body massage for two and had an enjoyable time. It was such a big stress release and discharge after the massage.  We could see that other passengers had good time as well that made the cruise more remarkable.   The trip was worth the money and we will definitely go back Halong Bay again and stay longer.

Halong Bay Cruise

This really is a great way to spend a few days. Halong Hub really took care of us. The guides were pleasant and polite and gave us loads of information. The Pelican cruise Halong is fabulous, the food was amazing and Halong Bay certainly didn’t disappoint. The Sung Sot cave blew me away, so big and so beautiful. I also really enjoyed the kayaking.

The Beauty of Halong Bay

A group of eight of us went up to Halong Bay for a cruise and had a total blast. We are all teachers in Ho Chi Minh City and took the opportunity to fly up to Hanoi for a few days, then take in a boat trip. Halong Bay is incredibly beautiful, better than I had even imagined. The color of the water was amazing and the islands impressive. There were 5 nationalities in our group and we all thought it the most beautiful place we have seen.

Would Not Miss This Opportunity!

Any trip to Vietnam will be a trip of your lifetime, but for our family the highlight of entire two week vacation was in the time on the Halong Pelican cruise. The trip to the bay from Hanoi was long, but after traveled overnight and it was well worth it to see the glorious bay in the early morning. The cruise staff were extremely friendly and took us immediately once we arrived. Food and drinks were a little expensive (especially by Vietnam standards) but no where nearly as expensive as on American cruises. There are different tours that can do while on the boats, but the Halong Pelican cruise was for us the most fun. This is a new cruising company, so the boats very beautiful. The boats are small and intimate, each one only has 22 cabins, you don’t have to share your vacation time with thousands of annoying strangers. The interior of the boat is nice, but in all honesty, once you book a cruise you will be spending your whole time on the sundeck enjoying the Vietnamese sunshine instead! Sometimes we had a few problems communicating with the cruise because they don’t all speak English well. But there is always one person around that can speak it, so was never a lack of translating services when necessary.
