Weather-Related Conditions Affecting the Tour Itinerary:
- Scenario 1: Due to weather conditions on the departure day, if the cruise is not granted permission for an overnight stay, the company will notify the customer about the cancellation and refund the amount if it has been prepaid. If the customer must switch from a 3-day 2-night itinerary to a 2-day 1-night itinerary, the price will be adjusted to the 2-day 1-night rate plus the ticket difference between the two itineraries. This is due to force majeure, and tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded by the Lan Ha Bay Management Board.
- Scenario 2: Due to weather conditions on the departure day, if the cruise is not granted permission for an overnight stay but is allowed for a day tour, the customer can choose one of the following options: a) The customer can take a day tour of Lan Ha Bay and return the same day. The tour price will be adjusted to the Lan Ha Bay day tour rate, and the specific amount will be notified to the customer. b) The customer can opt not to take the day tour. The company will provide free transportation back to Hanoi, but the customer will bear their own food and beverage expenses on the return trip.
Note:
The Bay Management Board often gives notice to cancel the overnight sleep permit, possibly while you are on the tour. In such situations, we would like to ask for your understanding about it.
The rainy season from August to October in Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay often has very unusual weather conditions, so overnight cruises in the bay can be canceled unexpectedly, and often with very late notice.

Yes, Stellar of The Seas Cruise is suitable for families. The cruise provides various amenities that cater to everyone, including large cabins or suites perfect for families with many children’s activities, which bring your family memorable experiences to enjoy the trip.
The spa is available on luxury cruises. Please kindly notice that this is an exclusive service. You will book the service with the cruise manager directly and pay yourself on the cruise.
There is no doctor available neither on board nor on the bay. However, all vessels are equipped with First Aid Kits and basic medicine supply. If there is a serious medical emergency, the tender can take you back to the harbor. We can take you to the nearest hospital within 1 hour.
If you intend to go kayaking, plan to have a change of clothes as you will easily get wet.
As for shoes, choose what is appropriate according to the temperatures and bring along trainers/walking shoes for the excursions (visiting caves, hiking, cycling, etc.).
Don’t forget your bathing suit! If you are cruising for 3 days/2 nights, you will be transferred on the second day, from about 8.30 AM to 4.30 PM on our day boat. You can plan to have a small backpack to take to the day boat as you will be able to leave the rest of your baggage in your cabin.
Swimming is permitted in Halong Bay, Vietnam, but it's crucial to adhere to safety guidelines. Watch out for jellyfish, stay within designated swimming areas to avoid boat traffic, and consider wearing a life jacket, particularly if you're not a confident swimmer. Be mindful of underwater currents, which can be strong, and stay close to your group or lifeguard stations. Avoid swimming alone, especially in remote spots, and supervise children closely. Check the weather forecast before swimming to ensure safe conditions.
Halong Bay or Lan Ha Bay is preferable depending on individual insights.
