Can you pick me up from my hotel in Hanoi?

Yes, we can! We’re ready to pick you up from any hotel in or near Hanoi Old Quarter with our comfortable 9-seater limousine. The service is not included in your cabin price, so please get in touch with us to find out the current price for the transfer, from Hanoi or from elsewhere.

Is the trip between Hanoi and Halong Bay very long?

No, it isn’t. The entire trip takes around 2 hours, from the doorstep of your hotel in Hanoi to our waiting lounge in the port of Halong Bay. For your comfort, we also use the new expressway between Hanoi and Hai Phong for the majority of the transfer service.

Is Stellar of the Seas Cruise suitable for couples and families?

By all means yes! It’s a perfect choice for a relaxing trip if you’re planning to come here as a couple or family.

Which bays do I get to visit with Stellar of the Seas Cruise?

We organize cruises through Halong Bay and and Lan Ha Bay. We’ll show you everything there is to see but we’ll focus on the most pristine, untouched regions out there.

Do I need to pay any extra fees when I visit caves with you?

No, you don’t. All cave entrance fees are included in the cruise price, so you don’t need to remember to take your change when you join us for one of our off-board excursions.

What kind of food do you serve on the ship?

Our menu is a blend of international and Vietnamese cuisines, but don’t worry – it’s all delicious! We do our best to serve only highest-quality food on Stellar of the Seas Cruises.

Do we have to pay for meals on Stellar of the Seas Cruise?

The meals, except drinks, are included in the price. You only need to pay for the drinks or any extra food you may want to order.

Do you cater for special dietary requirements?

Yes, we do. We strive to satisfy all special dietary needs our guest might have – vegetarian and vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free, food allergies or religious restrictions. Just kindly let us know in advance what your requirements are.

Can I request a vegetarian meal on Stellar of the Seas Cruise?

Of course, provided we have the ingredients you require. Let us know in advance and we will do our best.

Are drinks included in the price?

No. Drinks, tips and other personal expenses are not included in our Halong Bay cruise price, so you’ll need to cover these costs separately.

Can we request to have meals at the sundeck instead of at the restaurant?

Sure, just let us know in advance as space for meals at the sundeck is limited.

What should I bring with me on board?

Definitely start with your passport! Please also remember to bring some sunblock, sunglasses and a hat, a swimming suit and some insect repellent. If you’re travelling in winter, then don’t forget to pack some warm clothes (you’ll find them very useful when you join our Tai Chi class at sunrise).

How many nights should I spend in Ha Long? Should I visit the bay for 3 days or two?

Any amount of time in Halong Bay is great, but we can definitely recommend booking a Halong Bay cruise lasting 2 nights. Your trip will feel less rushed and you’ll have more time to explore some of the more remote parts of the three bays, so do try and visit Halong Bay for 3 days.

Does the staff speak English or should I learn Vietnamese?

All our staff members speak English, so you’ll have no problem communicating with us during your time on board of Stellar of the Seas Cruises. However, we will appreciate any Vietnamese that you can use in conversations with us!

Can I smoke in my cabin?

No, you can’t. All our cabins are strictly non-smoking, thanks for your understanding!

Catching squid sounds like an exciting thing to do! Is it difficult and do I need to prepare for it?

No, you don’t! All you need to do is to show up – we’ll have everything ready for you, including all the fishing equipment you’ll need to catch some juicy squid!

Can I jump straight from Stellar of the Seas Cruise into the bay when the ship stops?

No. Jumping from the ship is strictly forbidden due to our customer safety policy.

Yes, it does – right at the top of the ship, with fantastic views all around. Jump in!

Worth every dollar!

Comforts of a top hotel on water. Highlight was the amazing fresh tasty food and views. Service outstanding and you felt safe as you noticed there was safety equipment everywhere, which not sure if smaller cheaper operators have that. Furthermore, you will be thrilled out to see on board the mini golf courses, beautiful swimming pool and luxury bar… Extremely nice and convenient.

AMAZING

What an experience. We stayed on the boat for one night but wished we had stayed for the two nights. The whole experience from start to finish was superb. The cabins were a very good standard and a good size more than we expected with nice balcony. The food and the staff were of high quality. In the evening, we were enjoying BBQ by the pool with relaxation. We were very sorry to leave the cruise.

Beautiful and well organized

Two-day-one-night cruise on Ha Long bay. Busy, but not stressful schedule. Cabins are fine (AC, minibar, safe) and own balcony’s great. Staff is attentive and very nice and the food’s amazing. Recommended.

Great way to relax

Although there are many boats in the bay, we didn’t feel at all crowded and, in fact, it was lovely at night to see the twinkling of the other boats moored up. We did all the usual excursions, including the visit to the tunnel where we were rowed round by a local lady. We found this fascinating and were full of questions to ask about the way of life of these people during the information session on the boat in the evening. We had booked a Junior Suite Cabin with a balcony. we enjoyed sitting on the balcony but found the room a bit shabby with a torn curtain. The food was OK and a bit of a problem for me as I don’t like sea food. However, they very kindly brought me alternative dishes at all the meals. All in all all, despite the cloudy weather, it was a very relaxing experience which we wouldn’t have missed.

Lovely way to experience Halong Bay

We did the 1 night cruise which we felt was just right. The cruise is lovely. The crew were attentive and the food was of a good standard. We found the cabin more comfortable to sit in than sleep in, and from there and the public areas we had great views of Halong Bay. Kayaking through a cave was also a great experience. After the chaos of Hanoi, it was a lovely way to chill-out.

Really good time on board

The boat trip was excellent. The staff could not do enough for us and we felt right at home. The rooms were lovely, and we had our own little balcony, which was very nice. The food was good, the setting was amazing but the trips were a little disappointing. No their fault, just with more tourists, the effects are seen. However still had an amazing time and will never forget it.

Had a great time, definitely recommend 2 nights!

We enjoyed our 2 nights cruise on the Stellar of the Seas boat. It was clean, the room with private balcony was great. The bathroom and shower were very impressive! We could not fault the food, the staff were lovely & the day trips were well organized & a lot of fun. Everyone on our boat had a wonderful time & of course, Halong Bay itself is stunning! Very relaxing couple of nights on the boat. We recommend the 2 nights cruise. With the expressway, It’s a 2 hour drive from Hanoi to Halong city where you board the boat, so staying 2 nights makes it more worthwhile.
