Dragon Pearl Cruise is the largest in the Indochina junk fleet. Modeled on ancient Chinese junks that sailed in a bygone age, this beautiful triple-masted junk cuts a fine figure slipping effortlessly through the water of Halong Bay.The bay itself is of course the star of any show.
Known as one of the most beautiful places on earth and voted one of the “Seven Wonders of Nature” in a global poll, it is one of the most scenically beautiful places on the planet. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is an unmissable part of a Vietnamese holiday, and seeing it from the decks of the Dragon Pearl Cruise creates a truly special experience.
This cruise offers unique opportunities including having a fabulous dinner inside a cave. The boat is ideal for catering for private parties of up to 20 people, but of course booking just one berth, gives you the opportunity of making new friends and experiencing this awesome adventure with them.
Dining onboard is a wonderful experience as the chef and his galley crew prepare and present a superb selection of Vietnamese and international dishes for your delectation. The decor throughout is one of elegant ancient Asian designs. This is a wonderful craft from which to enjoy all that Halong Bay has to offer.

Had a fantastic stay on board the Dragon Legend 1. I was amazed by the size and luxury of the cabin. The staff was super friendly and professional. Especially, Mr. Tom, who looked after me extremely well (I think he is the awesome cruise manager), and Long, the gentlemen helped me all the time was a great tour guide. Thanks guys for a very memorable visit.
The Dragon Pearl cruise ship is a gorgeous boat, she really looks the business. My wife and I had a really wonderful time on this boat, being looked after by attentive crew, riding in luxury for three days eating food fit for a king. As if all that isn't enough, we were in Halong bay as well. One of the most scenically beautiful places on the planet. Try for yourself, you won't regret a minute.
"My husband and I had a marvelous experience aboard Dragon Pearl cruise Halong. In only one word AMAZINGÂ! The service was outstanding and the food was simply delightful. The suite had all the creature comforts that you could desire to make your stay a memorable one. We felt so lucky to have Ms Lan as our butler, she was a very courteous young lady with great skills. We wish her all the best for her future.
I would definitely recommend taking this tour as part of your Vietnam holiday."
I've never been a cruise person. I hate the idea of being stuck on a boat with thousands of strangers and overpriced alcohol. That's why I was unenthusiastic when my wife signed us up for the Halong Dragon Pearl cruise in the Halong Bay of Vietnam. I thought it would be dirty, boring, and way too hot. Boy was I wrong. From the moment we boarded the boat the staff were exceptional and happy to provide anything we asked for. Our private rooms were basic but very functional, and the sun deck was full of empty chairs to relax on. A cruise highlight for me was stopping at the Vung Vieng fishing village on the second day because it was a glimpse into life for normal people in Vietnam. A lot of our vacation before this cruise was very touristy so I enjoyed seeing a more 'natural' side to the country. The floating school and fish farms were really neat and I got some great early morning photos. The only negative to this whole experience was how smug my wife was. But I got the last laugh because on the last day of the cruise I threw her into the water with her sundress on!! Don't worry, she was laughing the whole time. Book the Dragon Pearl cruise Halong! It's a great way to experience a beautiful place.
To have once in a lifetime opportunity to backpacking through Vietnam was amazing enough, but the highlights from my two week trip was taking a cruise in the Halong Bay. The bay is otherworldly- so magical like out of a movie! And my experience was heightened by taking a cruise on the Halong Dragon Pearl cruise. This cruise comes in two lengths, one night or two nights, and my biggest regret from my entire trip to Vietnam was that I only booked the cruise for one night. I wanted to end my backpacking vacation with luxury, and the Halong Dragon Pearl cruise was so luxury!. I embarrassed to board the cruise ship with my big smelly backpack but the staff was very sweet to me and direct me to my room where a cold drink waiting for me. Paradise. The staff kept up their friendliness for the entire cruise and asked me lots of questions about my travels. Their English was also very impressive. I took advantage of the cruise's luxurious atmosphere to relax on the sun deck and drink more delicious cold drinks. The number of people on the ship was small, so there were always chairs available. I take part in some of the activities like tai chi and relax into the cruise mentally. What I liked about the Dragon pearl cruise Halong was that they didn't force an itinerary or activities on you but created a space where you can if you want to but you could also just relax and enjoy the scenery like I did. I've already recommended the cruise to all my travel friends and I think that it's a must visit for someone visiting the Halong Bay.
Not exactly a life on the high seas, but still a great introduction to a cruise holiday for me. Halong Dragon Pearl Cruise only do trips of 3 or 4 days but the scenery draws you in and you will get really into the spirit of things. The boat was a lot quieter and had less diesel fumes than I imagined- a lot nicer than those North Sea Ferries ha ha!! It was actually pretty brill... real palatial luxury everywhere on board, bar was great at night and the trips off the boat were well planned as well.
As we approached the group of boats moored just off the coast, one stood out more than the others. It was bigger, looked really classy and had its large sails billowing in the wind. We were in luck, this was the Halong Dragon Pearl cruise! Halong Bay itself was just awesome, all I had hoped for. This part of the world is very picturesque. I liked the crew and the food. The cabins were very nice indeed. The trips to the cave, the pearl farm and the floating village were all really good fun as well. I think this boat is really special, I would definitely recommend it to my friends thinking to travel to Halong.
