The ship

Mon Chéri Cruise is one of the most luxurious five-star cruises in Halong Bay which was voted one of the seven New Wonders in the world. Newly launched in early 2018, Mon Chéri Cruise aims to bring customers an unforgettable holiday.

Dark wood and rich malbec hues give Mon Chéri an air of prestige, while still feeling warm and homely thanks to the plush upholstery and soft lighting. Large panoramic windows stretch across the walls of every room, meaning guests can enjoy the spectacular passing scenery from anywhere on the ship. The itinerary

Day 1: TUAN CHAU - HA LONG BAY – LAN HA BAY – TRA BAU

8:30 – 8:50 : A limousine bus picks the guests up at your hotel in the old quarter or at No 16 Thi Sach, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi. (There would be an additional charge for a shuttle bus if it booked from Hanoi).

12:00 : The crew members of Mon Cheri Cruise will welcome you at No.34, Tuan Chau Marina, Quang Ninh.

12.30 : You will be taken aboard our support vessel and travel from the wharf via the bay to board our luxurious craft, Mon Chéri Cruise. Itinerary briefing is announced during this time.

13:00 : Welcome fresh drinks, wet towels and a special lunch of fresh food and an assortment of appetizing delicacies will be served. You will be enchanted when decadently dining on our luxury junk. Life just doesn’t get better than this! We then set sail for Lan Ha Bay – A member of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays.

Enjoy the delicious luncheon of fresh seafood and an assortment of appetizing delicacies while cruising along Lan Ha bay with the breathtaking scenery.

15:30 : Visiting Tra Bau area where has known as an area famous for its unspoiled, poetic natural beauty and attractive seascape of Lan Ha Bay. This is the best time for kayaking to discover the truest beauty of the limestone islands.

Immerse yourself in the emerald green water of the bay or enjoy the Jacuzzi pool on the Mon Chéri Cruises.

17:30 – 18:30 : Joining us for Cooking demonstration to learn how to make one of the most famous Vietnamese cuisines, the spring rolls. Or reach the top deck of cruise where the guests can admire the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin.

Enjoy a Happy Hour time – BUY ONE GET ONE FREE at the bar. It is an ideal time for photography enthusiasts to capture the greatest moment of sunset over Lan Ha Bay.

19.30 : Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served by our skillful chef. This is a delightful meal in an intimate romantic setting.

21:00 – 22.00 : Relax and sip the exotic cocktails and drinks at the sky bar (with surcharge).

Indulge yourself with spa service (optional) or simply relax on the top deck just under the cover of a brightly illuminated sky.

Or try to get your luck at the squid fishing on the main deck.

Day 2: LAN HA BAY – CAT BA ISLAND – TUAN CHAU

6:00 : Begin the day full of energy with the Tai Chi session and enjoy the sun just rising up beyond the horizon.

6:45 – 7:15 : Breakfast is served while cruising back to Gia Luan jetty. (Breakfast time maybe adjust and follow the real itinerary)

7:30 – 9:00 : You will join the tour of Cat Ba World Biosphere by transshipment. It takes 30 minutes to transfer from Gia Luan to Trung Trang – one of the most impressive caves in Cat Ba island, Vietnam. The limestone cave has thousands of talactites in various shapes, offering geological values with a typical cave ecosystem.

9:30 : Return to the main boat from the cave and the guests will do the cabin check out. Luggage is placed outside of the cabin.

Lunch is served at the restaurant. Settle the bar bill by the desk at the restaurant (if any)

10:30 – 11:00 : Disembark the Mon Cheri Cruises and transferred back to Block #34, Big Bay group terminal, Tuan Chau Marina. Relax and wait for the luggage.

11:30 – 12:00 : The guests are ready at Tuan Chau Marina.

Day 2: LAN HA BAY – VIET HAI VILLAGE – THREE PEACHES AREA

6:00: Begin the day full of energy with the Tai Chi session and enjoy the sunrise over the bay.

6:45 – 7.15: Breakfast is served at the restaurant.

8:00 – 8:30: The guests are transferred to a day trip boat and set sail for the further Lan Ha Bay – cruising along the peaceful and quiet nature of the bay. Or you are free to relax on cruise if you do not like to move for a day trip.

10:30 – 11:00: After reaching Viet Hai jetty, the guest will have a great experience in cycling or having a ride on an e-cart to Viet Hai village through the tropical rainforest canopy and towering limestone mountains, also surrounded by the green.

Learn about the villager’s daily life and how people built and lived in the bamboo thatched houses; the earthen walls are made of straw and mud covered with trellis, forming walls to block rain and wind.

12:15 – 13:30: Return to the day trip boat and enjoy lunch at the restaurant while the boat is cruising to the kayaking and swimming spot.

13:30: Explore the secluded and quiet lagoon by kayaks or having a swim off the boat is a great fun.

16:30: Head back to the Mon Cheri Cruises to relax. Have a soak in the Jacuzzi mini pool. Enjoy the music and your favorite drinks by the pool.

17:30 – 18:30: Enjoy “happy hour” on the deck and BUY ONE GET ONE FREE. Watch the sunset falling on the bay.

Attend the cooking demonstration to learn the different type of the Vietnamese spring rolls.

19:30: Dinner is served at the Mon Cheri Cruises restaurant.

21:00 – 22:00: Enjoy the nightlife of the bay from the deck. Immerse yourself in music. Taste some cocktail at the bar. Otherwise, you can go for the squid fishing with the sailors or simply relax in the room and watch Ha Long Bay from the balcony.

Day 3: LAN HA BAY – CAT BA ISLAND – TUAN CHAU

6:00: Begin the day full of energy with the Tai Chi session and enjoy the sun just rising up beyond the horizon.

6:45 – 7:15: Breakfast is served while cruising back to Gia Luan jetty. (Breakfast time maybe adjust and follow the real itinerary)

Sharing from 1 to 8 Cabins:

More than 15 days prior to check-in: No cancellation charges.
Less than 14 to 10 days prior to check in: Charged 50% of total rate.
Less than 9 to 4 days prior to check-in: Charged 70% of total rate
Within 3 days prior to check-in or No-Show: Charged 100% of total rate.

Sharing from 8 to 10 cabins and above:

More than 45 days prior to check-in: No cancellation charges.
Less than 45 to 31 days prior to check-in: Charged 25% of total rate.
Less than 30 to 15 days prior to check-in: Charged 50% of total rate.
Less than 14 to 7 days prior to check-in: Charged 70% of total rate.
Within 6 days prior to check-in No-Show: Charged 100% of total rate.

Cancellation by Mon Chéri Cruises

We Reserve the right to cancel your booking under some unavoidable circumstances as follows: weather conditions, wars, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural disasters, terrorism, or under orders from the Local Authority. Please note that we may have to cancel your trip due to bad weather conditions to guarantee the safety of all guests.

The following policies will be applied for bad weather :

If the Cancellation is informed before guests leave Hanoi to Hai Phong ( and guests have not used any service yet): 100% refund.
If the Cancellation is informed during the trip (guests have already used some services: transfer, lunch, day trip, hotel in Ha Long Bay, etc): Only the actual fee of these services will be charged and we will refund the whole of the remaining amount.
If the Cancellation is informed before 8:00 a.m, the trip will be shortened from 3 days/2 nights to 2 days/1 night, there will be a charge the 2 days 1 night package rate.
If the Cancellation is informed when our guest has already spent 1st night and taken part in the 2nd day activities on the DAY CRUISE (Sunset) until 3:00-5:00pm, there will be a charge the 2 days 1 night package rate + 90 USD/ 01 Pax.

Refund timing depends on your bank/card issuer.

The Cancellation of the Cruise will be announced ONLY by Hai Phong Local Port Authority and often at short notice. Therefore your kind understanding in this situation is highly appreciated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on Lan Ha Bay. The jacuzzi was a great way to relax after a day of exploring the beautiful scenery. The mini golf course was also a fun diversion for the kids. While my husband loved the top deck bar and lounge. Especially, the cold Tiger beers after sunbathing and swimming all day!

The cruise is world class. The rooms are spacious and have enormous windows that gave almost panoramic views of the karst mountain formations in Halong Bay. The service is 5-star and all the activities were great. We particularly enjoyed canoeing and rappelling! The staff is very professional. The best part is that Mon Chieri upgraded our room for free! To top it all off, the company gave us a call after the cruise to say they will send a special gift to us at our hotel in Hanoi!”

It’s school break in the US so we decided to visit Halong Bay as a family. The cruise was actually recommended by a friend of my dad who had nothing but praises for Mon Chieri. It was a great bonding experience for everyone so we’re thankful we decided to go. The cruise was well organized – with very friendly staff, world-class facilities, and great food on board. Excellent choice of activities too. The only regret we had was we only booked the 2-day package. We felt like we missed some of the attractions and activities that Halong has to offer. Hopefully we can come back soon!”

It was incredible, the amount of food served was exceptional and absolutely delicious. Top-notch facilities , the room we had was clean, comfortable and spacious. The top deck was perfect for relaxation with plenty of loungers. The cost for cruises in Halong bay are quite steep, but considering this is one of the most reasonable options, it was perfect for our family! The tour was breathtaking, seeing all the limestone islands and we get to kayak in such a tranquil area of Lan Ha Bay was simply amazing!”

We took part a two day – one night cruise in Lan Ha Bay with my girlfriend by Mon Chéri. The boat was very nice, the cabin was cosy and comfortable. Food was ok and the crew organized very exciting programs for us like kayaking on the Bay or short trekkings on some islands. Generally we were satisfied with it. We advice it for everyone.

As Halong Bay is UNESCO World Heritage New7Wonders of Nature in which I really would like to recommend you to choose Mon Cheri cruise. Mon Cheri cruise is the newest and fastest cruise ever.
The bedroom is spacious and beautifully decorated. My single bed is super comfy with 2 pillows. The balcony has 2 chairs for enjoying scenery and fresh air. However, the bathroom curtain is not very thick so you can see everything inside out.
After lunch, it is time for kayaking along Lan Ha Bay. The beach is clean because a cruise manager is very kind to always pick up the trashes at the beach to preserve the nature.
Sunset party is great with snack, sangria and fruit juice. But we took advantage of happy hour for buy 2 get 1 free. After that, there was Vietnamese spring roll cooking class. The night ended with squid fishing. I started the second day with Taichi class in early morning, then having breakfast before going to take bamboo boat for relaxing for the up-close scenery of Cat Ba Island. Cruise manager took good care and well explained the history.
For the way back, I got a limousine van with massage chair. It was too good to be true when I forgot my thing and they drop by the hotel to return it. All in all, I do recommend you to choose Mon Cheri. It’s really the impressive experience.

The cruise was wonderful. We did the 2 night 3 day trip…. We all agreed the full day out on Lan Ha Bay was one of our favorite days in Vietnam. There was a great boat ride through part of the bay, kayaking, swimming, a fishing thing, tons of amazing views.
On board the main boat, the crew was helpful and friendly! The food was delicious and ABUNDANT (sooo much food!). The room was nice and clean with a beautiful view.
