About the Cruise

Mon Chéri Cruise is one of the most luxurious five-star cruises in Halong Bay which was voted one of the seven New Wonders in the world. Newly launched in early 2018, Mon Chéri Cruise aims to bring customers an unforgettable holiday.

Dark wood and rich malbec hues give Mon Chéri an air of prestige, while still feeling warm and homely thanks to the plush upholstery and soft lighting. Large panoramic windows stretch across the walls of every room, meaning guests can enjoy the spectacular passing scenery from anywhere on the ship. Choose from a wide selection of spacious cabins, each complete with its own private balcony from which to enjoy your morning coffee, your evening glass of wine, and everything in between.

Mon Chérie Cruise takes guests on a unique tour route through Halong, and the quieter Lan Ha Bay area, where they will explore the emerald waters and karst islands, stopping to appreciate a special selection of caves, beaches, canals, and islets.

Day 1: TUAN CHAU - HA LONG BAY – LAN HA BAY – TRA BAU

8:30 – 8:50 : A limousine bus picks the guests up at your hotel in the old quarter or at No 16 Thi Sach, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi. (There would be an additional charge for a shuttle bus if it booked from Hanoi).

12:00 : The crew members of Mon Cheri Cruise will welcome you at No.34, Tuan Chau Marina, Quang Ninh.

12.30 : You will be taken aboard our support vessel and travel from the wharf via the bay to board our luxurious craft, Mon Chéri Cruise. Itinerary briefing is announced during this time.

13:00 : Welcome fresh drinks, wet towels and a special lunch of fresh food and an assortment of appetizing delicacies will be served. You will be enchanted when decadently dining on our luxury junk. Life just doesn’t get better than this! We then set sail for Lan Ha Bay – A member of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays.

Enjoy the delicious luncheon of fresh seafood and an assortment of appetizing delicacies while cruising along Lan Ha bay with the breathtaking scenery.

15:30 : Visiting Tra Bau area where has known as an area famous for its unspoiled, poetic natural beauty and attractive seascape of Lan Ha Bay. This is the best time for kayaking to discover the truest beauty of the limestone islands.

Immerse yourself in the emerald green water of the bay or enjoy the Jacuzzi pool on the Mon Chéri Cruises.

17:30 – 18:30 : Joining us for Cooking demonstration to learn how to make one of the most famous Vietnamese cuisines, the spring rolls. Or reach the top deck of cruise where the guests can admire the magnificent sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin.

Enjoy a Happy Hour time – BUY ONE GET ONE FREE at the bar. It is an ideal time for photography enthusiasts to capture the greatest moment of sunset over Lan Ha Bay.

19.30 : Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served by our skillful chef. This is a delightful meal in an intimate romantic setting.

21:00 – 22.00 : Relax and sip the exotic cocktails and drinks at the sky bar (with surcharge).

Indulge yourself with spa service (optional) or simply relax on the top deck just under the cover of a brightly illuminated sky.

Or try to get your luck at the squid fishing on the main deck.

Day 2: LAN HA BAY – CAT BA ISLAND – TUAN CHAU

6:00 : Begin the day full of energy with the Tai Chi session and enjoy the sun just rising up beyond the horizon.

6:45 – 7:15 : Breakfast is served while cruising back to Gia Luan jetty. (Breakfast time maybe adjust and follow the real itinerary)

7:30 – 9:00 : You will join the tour of Cat Ba World Biosphere by transshipment. It takes 30 minutes to transfer from Gia Luan to Trung Trang – one of the most impressive caves in Cat Ba island, Vietnam. The limestone cave has thousands of talactites in various shapes, offering geological values with a typical cave ecosystem.

9:30 : Return to the main boat from the cave and the guests will do the cabin check out. Luggage is placed outside of the cabin.

Lunch is served at the restaurant. Settle the bar bill by the desk at the restaurant (if any)

10:30 – 11:00 : Disembark the Mon Cheri Cruises and transferred back to Block #34, Big Bay group terminal, Tuan Chau Marina. Relax and wait for the luggage.

11:30 – 12:00 : The guests are ready at Tuan Chau Marina.

Day 2: LAN HA BAY – VIET HAI VILLAGE – THREE PEACHES AREA

6:00: Begin the day full of energy with the Tai Chi session and enjoy the sunrise over the bay.

6:45 – 7.15: Breakfast is served at the restaurant.

8:00 – 8:30: The guests are transferred to a day trip boat and set sail for the further Lan Ha Bay – cruising along the peaceful and quiet nature of the bay. Or you are free to relax on cruise if you do not like to move for a day trip.

10:30 – 11:00: After reaching Viet Hai jetty, the guest will have a great experience in cycling or having a ride on an e-cart to Viet Hai village through the tropical rainforest canopy and towering limestone mountains, also surrounded by the green.

Learn about the villager’s daily life and how people built and lived in the bamboo thatched houses; the earthen walls are made of straw and mud covered with trellis, forming walls to block rain and wind.

12:15 – 13:30: Return to the day trip boat and enjoy lunch at the restaurant while the boat is cruising to the kayaking and swimming spot.

13:30: Explore the secluded and quiet lagoon by kayaks or having a swim off the boat is a great fun.

16:30: Head back to the Mon Cheri Cruises to relax. Have a soak in the Jacuzzi mini pool. Enjoy the music and your favorite drinks by the pool.

17:30 – 18:30: Enjoy “happy hour” on the deck and BUY ONE GET ONE FREE. Watch the sunset falling on the bay.

Attend the cooking demonstration to learn the different type of the Vietnamese spring rolls.

19:30: Dinner is served at the Mon Cheri Cruises restaurant.

21:00 – 22:00: Enjoy the nightlife of the bay from the deck. Immerse yourself in music. Taste some cocktail at the bar. Otherwise, you can go for the squid fishing with the sailors or simply relax in the room and watch Ha Long Bay from the balcony.

Day 3: LAN HA BAY – CAT BA ISLAND – TUAN CHAU

If you’re looking for a Ha Long Bay overnight cruise, this is the one!
We booked a two day cruise. Meals were good. Not very authentic Vietnamese, but accommodating to people of all flavors. Dont be afraid to ask for more. They are more than happy to oblige.
Great for small intimate groups.
The rooms were clean and comfy. The only complaint was it took quite long to get them cool, and they hardly got cool enough.
There was a cooking class also. The music band played during dinner. We really wish we had done the 3 day cruise.

We took a 2night/3day trip. The cruise was immaculate and beautifully arranged. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The food was fantastic.The weather cooperated! But the best thing was the staffs, I think. They were so friendly, so hard working and so genuinely dedicated to doing a good job. This is a luxury cruise experience and it is affordable. If you have the chance, try it!

We booked a two day cruise and would highly recommend it. The service on the cruise was fantastic. Our room was modern and spacious, with a balcony which was a great spot to sit down and admire the view. Meals were tasty & very generous (5 courses!). We really enjoyed the tours (kayaking, and to the Hospital Cave on Cat Ba) with a knowledgeable guide. There are also a range of activities to take part in on the ship, and we’d recommend taking part in as many as you can as they were all fun (in particular, squid fishing on the first evening was great). The whole staff team were consummately professionals.

We stayed for 3 days – 2 nights on the Mon Chéri cruise. The third day is a must!!! We went deeper in the bay on the day boat, biked on Cat Ba island to reach the small village Viet Hai. Because we were only two for the middle day, we hiked on the mountain with our amazing guide Binh to get the best view on the bay! The lunch on the boat was delicious and authentic (seafood, barbecue, soup, vegetables and fruits). The crew (all from Cat Ba) was very welcoming and warming. A big thank to Cuong, Lich, Hoa and also the chef, Luyen, for the delicious food on the day boat!!

We arrived at the boat to be greeted by the crew waving to us and their hospitality never ended until we got back in our car to return to Hanoi. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The meals were perfect and the activities were well organised. A very enjoyable couple of days (we did the 2 night cruise) and would recommend it to anyone half interested in seeing this beautiful Halong Bay. Mon Cheri is definitely 5 star.

My just-married wife and I decided to take in a 2 night/3 day Halong Bay Cruise whilst visiting Vietnam on our honeymoon, and everything about the Mon Cheri Cruise was absolutely 5 star.
The staff were very friendly and attentive to all our needs and desires.
Lovely surprises were in store for us, as the staff had decorated our room to mark our occasion, and also surprised us by dimming the lights at dinner on our first evening, and presented us with a celebratory wedding cake. Brilliant touches Mon Cheri !!!
The itinerary was also excellent. Plenty to do, and loaded with variation.
Would definitely recommend this boat to my friend if they are considering a cruise in Halong Bay.
