This intimate cruise through Halong Bay was a delightful addition to our journey in Vietnam. SERVICE: Upon our arrival, the crew greeted us at the port with a small ferry that transported us to the main vessel. Each room offered a unique experience, but I believe all had views of the sea and a cozy terrace. While the boat occasionally moved, it was usually docked, creating a serene and still environment. To enhance our experience, complimentary activities were available, such as a raft ride in the bay, kayaking, a cooking class, karaoke, and nighttime squid fishing. Some guests opted for a two-night stay, though we, like many others, chose just one night. ROOM: Our cabin wasn’t very large, but it was charming and included a small closet, a comfortable bed, a little table, and a petite terrace with seating. The cabin also featured a minibar. BATHROOM: Compact, it came with a toilet, sink, and a spacious shower with a window that offered a view of the bay. There was also a phone mounted on the wall. MEALS: We were served lunch shortly after boarding, and it was delicious, as was the dinner. We had the option to choose between two main dishes. VALUE FOR MONEY: We didn’t handle the payment ourselves. OVERALL OPINION: Spending these two distinct days on our extended Vietnam tour was a delightful experience. Had the tour been shorter, I might have skipped it. There was also the option to extend the stay for an extra night.
