Doris Cruise

The Doris Cruise gave us exactly the calm atmosphere we were looking for. Hannah suggested it based on our preference for modern cabins and a quieter bay. Boarding and check in were straightforward. Our cabin was bright and spotless. Kayaking was the highlight for both of us. The only thing we found average was the coffee at breakfast, but everything else was very good. Highly recommended.

The food quality was strong and the staff always checked for allergies. The Tai Chi was optional but worth waking up for. The only thing I would tweak is the timing of happy hour because sunset was slightly earlier. Still, a very solid cruise.

We wanted a quiet cruise away from the main Ha Long crowds and Hannah suggested Doris since it goes into Lan Ha Bay. That made a big difference. The scenery felt untouched and peaceful. The cabin was spacious and the balcony made the trip feel special. The only downside was slow Wi Fi but honestly it helped us unplug. I would happily send friends on this ship.

Traveling with my husband, we chose Doris based on Hannah’s advice that it had one of the better routes in Lan Ha Bay. She was absolutely right. The scenery here feels quieter than Ha Long Bay and the crew kept things very organized. Meals were fresh and served promptly. Our cabin had a private balcony and it was wonderful in the early morning. The only thing I would change is to extend the sunset time on the deck bar. Otherwise, excellent experience
