Beautiful trip with an excellent guide
Spending three full days in Halong bay was one of the best decisions during our three week trip to Vietnam. In particular the day between arrival and departure day was really wonderful. And Mr. Man turned out to be the best guide possible. Knowledgeable, very competent and always with good sense of humour he introduced us to the secrets of Vietnam and its wonderful nature and people. We really recommend him for every trip you would like to undertake in Vietnam.

Natural wonders in Vietnam
Two day and one night cruise was great. An unexpected treat on my trip. Everything was organized and taken care off so just follow along when Tommy tells you and you will have a great time. Loved the kayaking and cave visit. Didn’t catch a squid but at least I tried. Learned how to make Vietnamese spring rolls and started the day with a Tai Chi lesson. Enjoyed the whole experience and the little things like a glass of cool tea in the lounge after our departure from the boat while waiting for the bus. Try it you will have a great time, hopefully you have Tommy as your guide or Jackie as your bus guide.

Wow!
Originally we were supposed to cruise on a traditional Vietnamese junk but because of the large number of guests we were upgraded to the ship. As my title suggests, wow what a luxurious ship! The rooms are well air conditioned with large windows looking out from your room onto the bay. The room contains a spa bath, a television and all the mod cons. The bed is huge and comfortable. As part of the trip, you can row in a canoe or join a traditional sampan rowed by skillful ladies. What a way to see the many outcrops rising from the water as well as a traditional fishing village. If you decide to take the overnight cruise, as part of the package you can learn how to make traditional fried spring rolls and you get to eat them. Again, have I mentioned the views?…….yes the cruise is well worth it and we highly recommend it as part of your North Vietnam tour.
